Under this program, we are pleased that eighteen deserving high schools across the nation, who were selected to receive support through KSI’s innovATe project, will receive education and access to the requisite tools for addressing exertional heat stroke, per NATA guidelines. Mueller will provide support to these high schools in the form of donating ‘Exertional Heat Stroke Kits’, comprised of a Kestrel® 5400 Heat Stress Tracker and Weather Meter, the DataTherm® II Continuous Temperature Monitor by RG Medical Diagnostics and RecoveryTub® portable thermal immersion tub. Mueller will also partner with the Korey Stringer Institute to raise awareness through joint social media content and communication. This content will cover a range of topics including the overall mission, stories on deserving schools and their athletic trainers along with highlights of the products to help address this issue.
“We are optimistic this program will start to make a difference this football season. We are pleased to provide education to deserving high schools related to exertional heat stroke and the necessary equipment to address exertional heat stroke incidents.” said John Cayer, President of Mueller Sports Medicine.
